Connections to Białystok
Białystok is located in the North-Eastern part of Poland. It’s the capital of Podlaskie Voivodeship and the biggest city in the region. It shouldn’t be a problem to reach it, especially if you’ll read our guide.
CONNECTIONS TO BIAŁYSTOK
You can reach the centre of Białystok by both bus and train. Direct trains go from most of the biggest cities, including Warszawa, Łódź, Katowice, Poznań, Wrocław, Kraków and the Tricity.
Are you aware that travelling by train is the most climate friendly way of motorised transport in Europe? Taking the Warszawa to Białystok route by train you only emit 5,2 kg of CO2 per passenger. It’s three times less than a car (18,9 kg) and eight times less than a plane (45,1 kg).
If you decide to take a bus, you can find direct connections from Warszawa, Łódź and Wrocław. Going from Katowice, Poznań or the Tricity means a layover in Warsaw. From Toruń, there’s a layover in Warsaw, Poznań or Łódź and for Kraków there are ones in either Warsawa, Katowice or Łódź.
If you’re travelling from abroad, we wholeheartedly recommend taking a train – they’re so much better for the planet than planes! You can easily reach Białystok from Berlin, Prague or Bratislava with a layover in Warszawa. Vilnius has a direct connection to Białystok.
If you want to come to us from London, you can travel by bus. It will take a whole day, but the landscapes might be worth the fatigue. If you decide to fly in, it’s best to go to Warsaw, and then take a train to Białystok. Same, if you plan on flying from Oslo, Copenhagen or Stockholm.
If you decide to come by car, remember that the most efficient way to travel is by coming with friends. No empty runs! You can always take hitchhikers too and the festival adventure will start way sooner!
MOVING AROUND THE CITY
You won’t have any problems moving around Białystok. The public transport runs fine and you can always count on taxis, city bikes and electric scooters. We heavily encourage you to take a walk around the neighbourhood and explore it on your own. In Białystok you can reach everywhere on your feet. We know some people who fly with an air balloon though!
